A voiding cystourethrogram, or VCUG, is a way of examining a child’s bladder and urinary tract.
As you prepare for your child’s VCUG at OSF HealthCare Children’s Hospital of Illinois, keep the following in mind.
- Please plan to arrive a half hour before your scheduled procedure time.
- Bring along any small items that will provide comfort to your child, such as a favorite toy, blanket, pacifier or bottle.
- Your child should wear comfortable, loose clothing with no metal snaps, buttons, zippers, sequins or glitter.
